In the event of an accident or emergency in the North Sea we can render fast assistance and salvage with the help of our tugs, in order to avert damage to persons, ship, cargo and also the environment.
Research shipping
One of the companies that belong to the Linnhoff Group is RF Forschungsschiffahrt Bremen. This division of our company allows us to offer surveying facilities.
Pilot-transfer
Another of our affiliated companies is
Wiking Helikopter Service GmbH. On behalf of the Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Housing it carries out a pilot-transfer service along the German bight. Wiking has been a reliable service provider for transport and transfer in the offshore sector for decades, which is proved by its operating experience: more than 34,000 transfers and altogether more than 80,000 flying hours in more than 30 years of accident-free flights in the operational area of Wiking.
Mooring service
In the Hamburg port area this service is available twenty-four-seven. Our affiliated company - Lütgens & Reimers GmbH - maintains a number of teams and an extensive fleet on standby, and is equipped with vehicles like Iveco Mooring Trucks and several mooring boats.
Emergency tugs
The Arge costal protection is a joint venture of three of the largest German tug-shipping companies which provide three powerful sea- and salvage-tugs in the North Sea and the Baltic Sea. On behalf of Germany’s Federal Government they fulfil the function of emergency tugs. The alliance among the leading German tug-shipping companies, founded in 2001, employs more than 600 people altogether and owns more than 50 tugs. Ten of these tugs are equipped with special fire extinguishing units. Since Wiking Helikopter Service GmbH also belongs to the Linnhoff Group, it offers Arge costal protection the opportunity to deploy helicopters at all times.
Workshop
Apart from the external production outsourcing undertaken for the paper industry, we also repair our own and other companies ships by our workshop. More than 30 ultra-modern machines and our extensive operating experience ensure our efficiency. Our workshop is fully licensed to repair and maintain Voith-Schneider propulsions.
